Threadworm

Threadworms can affect people of any age, but they’re more common in children. Causing itching and discomfort, threadworms can be treated with over the counter medicines, as well as hygiene precautions. Your GP may advise you to treat the whole family even if not everyone has symptoms, and everyone should wash their hands regularly and discourage children from biting their nails. Make sure to always read the label and ensure that the treatment is suitable for the age of your child and ask our pharmacist for advice.
