What is included in my Total Health Check?

Each check is as individual as you are, and can help you to pro-actively take control of your health.

  • Blood pressure check
  • Cholesterol test
  • Type 2 diabetes screening
  • Family history
  • BMI (body mass index)
  • Lifestyle questionnaire, including whether you smoke and eat a healthy balanced diet

As we age, our risk of developing health conditions can increase; including heart disease, type 2 diabetes and a greater risk of stroke. So, it’s important to be health conscious and understand the risks.

What happens at the health check up?

During your appointment, a member of our healthcare team will go through ways that you can help to reduce your risks of developing certain health conditions. Once you’ve finished your appointment, you will be taken through your results and given advice and support on how you can improve your health. You will also be given a copy of your results to keep alongside a pack of helpful advice and tips.

You may be advised to come back for a follow up appointment if your results are different to what is expected. If you are found to be at a high risk of developing certain conditions, our Pharmacist will discuss this with you and refer you to other healthcare services or your GP, where appropriate.
